Random Base Excitation node commands

The following commands appear when you right-click a random base excitation node in the Simulation Navigator.

Icon Command name Description
Make Active Appears when the event is not active.Activates the event.
Edit Attributes Opens the Random Base Excitation dialog box to let you modify the selected random base excitation. You can modify the event even if it has been solved.
Clone Clones the event.
Rename Renames the event and, optionally, the associated BUN and OP2 files.
Delete Deletes the event and, optionally, the associated BUN and OP2 files.
SolveSolve Event Solves the selected event.
SolveSolver Input File Generates the XML input file for the selected event. The file is stored in the working folder.
SolveSolver Batch File Generates the --.bat batch file for the selected event, which you can use to run the event in standalone mode. The file is stored in the working folder.
SolveStop Available while the software solves the random base excitation.Stops the solution process.
Check Obsolete Status Available when the response dynamics status is active and the random base excitation event status is obsolete.Verifies the format validity of the SOL103 Response Dynamics results file.
Show Solution Log Opens the Information window to display the content of the --.log file that contains output messaging from the random base excitation solver.
Information Opens the Information window that lists general information about the random base excitation event.

Excitations node commands

The following commands appear when you right-click the Excitations node under the random base excitation node in the Simulation Navigator. Depending on the event type, other commands can be available. This table only list commands for the random base excitation event.

Icon Command name Description
Delete All Appears when an excitation exists.Deletes the associate excitation.
New ExcitationTranslational Nodal Appears when no excitation exists.Opens the New Translational Nodal Function Excitation dialog box that lets you create an excitation for the event.
Information Opens the Information window that lists general information about the excitation for the random base excitation event.

Excitation node commands

The following commands appear when you right-click the excitation node under the random base excitation Excitations node in the Simulation Navigator.

Icon Command name Description
Edit Attributes Opens the New Translational Nodal Function Excitation dialog box that lets you modify the selected translational nodal excitation, scale factor, and frequency range. You can modify the excitation even if the event has been solved.
Rename Renames the excitation.
Delete Deletes the excitation.
Information Opens the Information window that lists general information about the excitation for the random base excitation event.

Results node command

The following command appear when you right-click the Results node under the random base excitation node in the Simulation Navigator.

Icon Command name Description
Delete Deletes random base excitation OP2 and BUN results files.

Contour node command

The following command appear when you right-click the Contour node under the random base excitation node in the Simulation Navigator.

Icon Command name Description
Open Opens random base excitation contour results in the Post Processing Navigator.

PSD XY Functions node command

The following command appear when you right-click the PSD XY Functions node under the random base excitation node in the Simulation Navigator.

Icon Command name Description
Load Loads random base excitation PSD function results under the Nastran OP2 Files - Sort2 Results node in the XY Function Navigator.
