Displacement coordinate systems specificity (Simcenter Samcef)
In Pre/Post, you can define multiple boundary conditions (for example, a load and a constraint), each with different displacement coordinate systems, on a single node. However, Simcenter Samcef allows only a single boundary condition displacement coordinate system per node.
When the software generates the Simcenter Samcef input file, the following rules are applied.
Note:
The following procedure supposes that constraints conflicts are fully resolved.
If a constraint with a displacement coordinate system is defined on a node, all loads applied on this node are projected in the constraint's displacement coordinate system. The displacement coordinate system in the Samcef output file will be the constraint's one.
Without a constraint with a displacement coordinate system on a node, all loads are projected in the global Cartesian coordinate system. Therefore, no displacement coordinate system will be output on that node. The sum of these loads will be performed in Simcenter Samcef (the time-dependent fields dependencies will be taken into account as well).
