Thermal Streams Junction
Use the Thermal Streams Junction simulation object to manually connect streams at a junction for streams that are disconnected in the digital model, but are actually connected in the physical model.
Using the Thermal Streams Junction simulation object you can select up to 40 streams to connect together, from predefined stream inlets and outlets groups. On the junction, the thermal solver computes the mass flow imbalance between the outlet mass flow of streams selected in the stream outlet groups and the inlet mass flow of the streams selected in the stream inlet groups.
This command lest you select a thermal stream from the list in the dialog box, from the Simulation Navigator, or in the graphics window.
For example, in the 25To26-27 thermal stream junction simulation object, Stream 25 is entering the junction and Stream 26 and Stream 27 are exiting it.
The thermal solver identifies all connected streams to solves them together. Streams can be connected together using the Thermal Streams Junction simulation object or when their inlets and outlets share nodes with the same coordinates.
After you solve the solution, you can display mass flow imbalance at junctions to inspect the boundary conditions you specified for thermal streams. For more information, see Display mass flow imbalances at duct and stream junctions.
