Define aerodynamic parameters

  1. Choose Home tab→Properties group→Modeling Objects .

  2. In the Modeling Objects Manager dialog box, from the Type list, select Aerodynamic Parameters and click Create.

  3. In the Aerodynamics Parameters dialog box, in the Reference Chord Length box, enter a reference chord length.

  4. In the Reference Density box, enter a reference density.Note: Alternatively, you can specify a pressure altitude in the Pressure Altitude box and click Calculate Reference Density from Pressure Altitude . The software uses the International Standard Atmosphere (ISA) to calculate the reference density for the specified pressure altitude.

  5. (Optional) If applicable, select a symmetry option.

  6. Click OK.

How do I

Create a mesh of aero panels

Create an aero spline

Define flutter method and aerodynamic conditions

Create M versus k table

Assign a modeling object to a solution or solution subcase

Assign an aerodynamic matrix modeling object to the solution
