Create a 2D dependent mesh

  1. Click 2D Dependent Mesh .

  2. Choose the Type of dependent mesh to create.

  3. Click Select Master Face and select the master (independent) face.

  4. Click Select Target Face and select the target (dependent) face.

  5. For individual loop (boundary edge), define the edge correspondence and direction.Select the appropriate loop from the displayed List.Click Select Master Edge and then select the appropriate edge from the master face.Click Select Target Edge and then select the appropriate edge from the target face.Use Flip Direction as necessary to ensure that the direction of the correspondence is the same on both the master and target edges.

  6. If you are creating a Symmetric type dependency, specify the coordinate system to use to transform the nodes.

  7. Use the Mesh Type list to specify whether the resulting mesh is free or mapped.

  8. Click OK or Apply.

  9. Use the options on the 2D Mesh or 2D Mapped Mesh dialog box to define the mesh on the master face.
