New Assembly FEM dialog box

Assembly FEM Name
Displays the name of the Assembly FEM file created by the New Assembly FEM command.
CAD Part
Map to Part Maps the new assembly FEM to the selected Master part. Select the check box to create an associative assembly FEM.
Part to Map to
Displayed only when Map to Part is selected.
Assembly Parts Only Filters the Part list to show only assembly parts.
Part Specifies the part file to map the Assembly FEM file to. Select an open part file from the list, or click Open Part to browse for a part file.
Solver Environment
Solver Specifies the solver to use.
Analysis Type Allows you to choose from a number of valid analysis types depending on your selected solver.
2D Solid Option Allows you to choose the plane on which you can create axisymmetric, plane strain, and plane stress elements.None — No 2D solid elements can be used.ZX Plane, Z Axis (Simcenter Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics, MSC Nastran solvers) — If 2D solid elements are used, they must be on the ZX plane. The rotational axis is Z.XY Plane, X Axis (Simcenter Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics solvers) — If 2D solid elements are used, they must be on the XY plane. The rotational axis is X.XY Plane, Y Axis (ANSYS, Abaqus solvers) — If 2D solid elements are used, they must be on the XY plane. The rotational axis is Y.
