Damping dialog box (LS-DYNA)
| Name | Defines the name of the modeling object. |
|---|---|
| Label | Specifies a unique numerical identifier for the modeling object. |
| Properties | |
| Description | Specifies an optional description for the modeling object. |
| *DAMPING_GLOBAL | Lets you define mass-weighted nodal damping that applies globally to the nodes of deformable bodies and to the mass center of rigid bodies. |
| Damping Force Load Curve****Specify Field | Lets you define the value for the system damping load constant by specifying a field. |
| Damping constant (VALDMP) | Lets you specify a value for the system damping constant. You do not need to enter a value in this box if you selected field to define the load constant. |
| **Scale factor on global X translational (STX)****Scale factor on global Y translational (STY)**Scale factor on global Z translational (STZ) | Lets you define a scale factor on the global X, Y, and Z translational damping forces. |
| **Scale factor on global X rotational (SRX)****Scale factor on global Y rotational (SRY)**Scale factor on global Z rotational (SRZ) | Lets you define a scale factor on the global X, Y, and Z rotational damping forces. |
