Display of the analytical surface of a Rigid Analytical Simcenter Samcef contact in post-processing
When you post-process results of a Rigid Analytical Surface Contact, you can display the analytical surface of that contact with a mesh made of dummy elements.

You enable this display when you define the Rigid Surface in the Rigid Analytical Surface Contact simulation object. For more information, see Rigid Surface Definition dialog box (Simcenter Samcef) and the DUMMY parameter of the Samcef .MDS command.
About the mesh of the analytical surface
Depending on the type of the analytical surface you choose and its dimensions, the software computes a mesh to display for the surface: the software automatically computes the right number of dummy elements, their type (linear, parabolic) and their sizes for the best possible representation of the surface. You cannot edit these parameters.
