Edge-To-Edge Gluing (Simcenter Samcef)

To glue two shell-meshed surfaces, use the Edge-To-Edge Gluing simulation object.

Gluing is performed between edges of both supports — Source region and Target Region.

When you solve or export your model, the options in the Edge-To-Edge Gluing dialog box define a Samcef .APS command. The gluing also generates Samcef SH3D elements.

Select the Show Ancillary Display check box to display the ancillary view of the glue constraint in the graphics window. The software starts the Samcef gluing conditions quick solver to compute this view.

Supported analysis solutions

The Edge-To-Edge Gluing simulation object is available for all structural and thermal Samcef solutions.
