Duct Modes Transmission Coefficients scenario
The Duct Modes Transmission Coefficients post-processing scenario displays duct modes transmission coefficients in a frequency-dependent XY plot or in an azimuthal and radial order-dependent matrix plot. It is available for SOL 108 Direct Frequency Response solution results, with the Specific Duct Modes subcase. You must have output the transmission coefficients through the Acoustic Output Requests Modeling Object. The data must be SORT1.
- In the Acoustic Output Requests dialog box, in the Duct Mode tab, select the Enable DMTRCOEF Request check box and select other options for the output.
For more information, see Duct mode load.
The Duct Modes Transmission Coefficients post-processing scenario plots the coefficients in the following types of plots:
Frequency-dependent XY plotEach function represents the amplitude of one output mode computed for one duct outlet for a given subcase. Each surface defined as Anechoic End Duct (AED) simulation object is considered a duct outlet in the computation. In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, set the following:In the Definition node, set the frequency-dependent coefficients to display. In the Selection node, select the duct outlet region, subcase, and the duct mode azimuthal and radial orders.
Order-dependent matrix plotThe matrix plot displays the amplitudes of for a given solution frequency, subcase, and duct outlet. The columns and the rows of the matrix plot represent the azimuthal and the radial orders. In the Scenario Based Data-Visualization Navigator, set the following:In the Definition node, set the order-dependent coefficients to display. In the Selection node, select the frequencies, duct outlet, and subcase to display.
