Create a solution step or subcase

Note:

You cannot create new steps or subcases for some solution sequences.

1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click on the active solution name and choose New Subcase or New Step.

2. From the Step list, select the type of step/subcase to create.

3. In the Solution Step or Subcase dialog box, enter the step/subcase options. These options vary depending on the solver, analysis type, and solution type.

4. Click OK.

Edit subcase or step options

1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click on a subcase or step name and choose Edit.Note: You also can edit multiple subcases at the same time. For more information, see Edit the attributes for multiple selected entities.

2. In the Solution Step dialog box, modify the subcase or step options.

3. Click OK.

Delete a subcase or step

In the Simulation Navigator, right-click on the active solution name and choose Delete.

Rename a subcase or step

In the Simulation Navigator, right-click on the solution name and choose Rename. Enter a new name.
