Vector dialog box (post-processing)
| Type | |
|---|---|
| Two Points | Specifies a vector by selecting two points. |
| Element Face Normal | Specifies a vector normal to a selected element face. |
| At Angle to Global XC | Specifies a vector at an angle to the global XC axis in the XC-YC plane. |
| Global CSYS Direction | Specifies a vector along an axis of the global coordinate system. |
| Work CSYS Direction | Specifies a vector along an axis of the current work coordinate system (WCS). |
| Selected CSYS Direction | Specifies a vector along an axis of a selected coordinate system. You can select a results coordinate system (if displayed) graphically from the active post view, or you can switch to the Simulation Navigator and select a model coordinate system from the CSYS folder. |
| By Coefficients | Specifies a vector based on its IJK coefficients. |
| View Direction | Specifies a vector normal to the current view. |
| Through Point | |
| These options are available when the type is set to Two Points. | |
| From Point | Specifies a location that defines the vector origin.Select Node/LocationClick to graphically select a node or feature face location on the master post view.Node IDEnter a node ID and click to specify a node location. |
| To Point | Specifies a location that defines the vector direction.Select Node/LocationClick to graphically select a node or feature face location on the master post view.Node IDEnter a node ID and click to specify a node location. |
| Locations | Provides a means to key in coordinates that define the vector by points.Start LocationEnter XYZ coordinates with respect to the global coordinate system to define the vector origin.End LocationEnter XYZ coordinates with respect to the global coordinate system to define the vector direction. |

| Angle to XC in XC-YC Plane | |

| Angle (Degree) | Enter an angle in degrees. |
| Component Direction | |
| This option is available when the type is set to Global CSYS Direction, Word CSYS Direction, or Selected CSYS Direction. | |
| Specifies the coordinate system axis to define the vector origin and direction. | |
| Vector Orientation | |
| Reverse Direction | Reverse the direction of the specified vector. |
| Coefficients and Origin | |
| Vector Coefficients | Enter IJK vector coefficients to define the orientation of the vector with respect to the selected coordinate system. |
| Origin | Enter the XYZ coordinates of the vector origin. |
| Coefficients | |
| Available when the type is set to By Coefficient. | |
| Cartesian | Enter IJK vector coefficients to define the orientation of the Cartesian coordinate system with respect to the selected coordinate system. |
| Spherical | Enter Phi and Sigma coordinates to define the orientation of the spherical coordinate system with respect to the selected coordinate system. |
