Contact with Clearance dialog box (Simcenter Samcef)

Type
Type Specifies how the clearance contact is defined.Magnitude and Direction Defines a clearance contact with a magnitude and a single direction.Components Defines a clearance contact in terms of a global or local coordinate system.
Model Objects
Select Object Lets you select the geometry or FE entities to which the contact is applied.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Excluded Lets you remove individual entities from within the selected object.
For more information about visible options when the Group Reference check box is selected, see Group Reference options.
Direction
Specify Vector Appears when Type is set to Magnitude and Direction.Defines the direction of the contact clearance. To reverse the direction of the vector, click Reverse Direction .
Contact Data CSYS Appears when Type is set to Components..Sets the coordinate system used to apply the contact. You can use the Existing global coordinate system or select one of the following local coordinate systems: Cartesian, Cylindrical, Spherical.
Type of Inequality
Clearance Definition Specifies the type of the clearance contact. You can define a Fixed Clearance or Clearance Bounds.
Imposed Fixations
Appears when Clearance Definition is set to Fixed Clearance.
DOF1 (FIX C 1), DOF2 (FIX C 2), DOF3 (FIX C 3) Defines fixations for the three directions of the Contact Data CSYS coordinate system.
Bounds
Appears when Clearance Definition is set to Clearance Bounds.
Lower Bound DOF1 (LC 1), **Upper Bound DOF1 (HC 1)**Lower Bound DOF2 (LC 2), **Upper Bound DOF2 (HC 2)**Lower Bound DOF3 (LC 3, Upper Bound DOF3 (HC 3) Defines the lower and upper bounds of the clearance data for the three directions of the Contact Data CSYS coordinate system.
Card Name Displays the name of the solver card this object writes to: .JEU.
