Select by group

The By Group option is available for the Show , Hide , and Show Only commands. It enables you to select displayable entities in a group.

1. On the Scene Bar, from the Method list, select By Group.

2. Select an option from the Type Filter list.

3. If you selected No Selection Filter, select a group in the Simulation Navigator. The software selects all entities in that group.Alternatively, you can select an entity (such as Element, Point, Polygon Face, and so on). When you select that type of entity in the graphics window, the software selects all entities in the group that contains that entity. For example, if a group contains a face and selected elements, and you select Polygon Face from the Type Filter list and then select that face in the graphics window, the software selects all entities in the group that contains that face.
