Use groups to control model visibility

In Apply a force to the entities in an existing group, you apply a force directly to the entities in a group.

In this procedure, you use a group to control the displayed portion of a model and then apply the force directly to that displayed portion.

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Force .The Force dialog box appears.

  2. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the group whose entities you want to display and choose Show Only.Only the contents of the group are displayed in the graphics window.

  3. In the Force dialog box, in the Type group, from the list, select Magnitude and Direction.

  4. In the graphics window, select the entities to which you want to apply the force.

  5. In the Magnitude group, in the Force box, enter the magnitude of the force.

  6. In the Direction group, specify the direction of the force.

  7. Click OK.
