Create the geometry optimization

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Simulation node and choose New Solution ProcessGeometry Optimization.

  2. In the Create Geometry Optimization Solution dialog box, in the Name box, enter a descriptive name for the solution process. This name identifies the solution process in the Simulation Navigator.

  3. From the Solution list, select a solved solution to which to add the solution process. You can create an optimization only for a solution that contains results.

  4. From the Process Type list, select the optimization algorithm to use.For more information, see Types of geometry optimization.

  5. Click OK.
