Migration of models with old Thermal Void loads

When you open a model that contains old Thermal Void loads and that was saved in NX 10 or an older version, the software migrates:

  • Each old Thermal Void load to a new Void Region.

  • Old Void Non-Geometric Element modeling objects to new Thermal Void loads. The software may create multiple Thermal Void loads from a single Void Non-Geometric Element modeling object.

The software links the new Void Regions to appropriate new Thermal Void loads.

If the old model contains VA(), VP(), VSV(), or VT() functions in boundary condition expressions that reference the old Thermal Void load, you need to correct each function to reference the appropriate new Thermal Void load and, optionally, the region of interest. These old expressions are preserved as comments in their respective fields and those fields now return a value of 1. You can modify the commented expressions directly from their respective fields or in the Expressions dialog box.
