Pre-test solution process nodes in the Simulation Navigator

The main panel of the Simulation Navigator includes several nodes used specifically by Simcenter 3D FE Model Correlation for the pre-test solution process. For information about other areas of the Simulation Navigator, see Simulation Navigator overview.

Pre-Test 1 Analysis Solution Results Modes [90] Pre-test solution process nodes The Pre-Test node references a modal analysis solution, possible sensor locations, and sensor selection configurations. The analysis solution results node contains the Modes [#] node. The number in the square brackets indicates the number of normal modes of the analysis solution.
Sensor Selection Candidate DOF [885] Required/Initial DOF [6] Possible sensor location nodesThe numbers in the square brackets of the Candidate DOF [#] and Required( Min-MAC algorithm)/Initial (MODMAC algorithm) DOF [#] nodes indicate the number of possible degrees-of-freedom candidates and the number of required or initial degrees-of-freedom for the sensor locations. When you select these nodes, the node locations of these degrees-of-freedom are displayed in the graphics window.
Configurations [3] Min-MAC 1 Min-MAC 2 MODMAC 1 Sensor selection configuration nodesThe Configurations [#] node can contain multiple sensor selection configuration nodes. The available sensor selection algorithms that are used to compute the sensor locations are Min-MAC and MODMAC. For more information, see Min-MAC algorithm and MODMAC algorithm.
Exciter Selection Sensor DOF [10] Candidate DOF [885] Possible exciter location nodesThe number in the square brackets of the Sensor DOF [#] nodes indicates the sensor degrees-of-freedom that you want excited by the exciters. The number in the square brackets of the Candidate DOF [#] nodes indicates the number of possible degrees-of-freedom candidates for the exciter locations. When you select these nodes, the node locations of these degrees-of-freedom are displayed in the graphics window.
Configurations [2] NMIF 1 DPR 1 Exciter selection configuration nodesThe Configurations [#] node can contain multiple exciter selection configuration nodes. You can modify the settings of each exciter configuration separately. The available algorithms that are used to calculate the exciter locations are NMIF and DPR. For more information, see Normal Mode Indicator Function (NMIF) algorithm and Driving Point Residue algorithm.

When you click the Modes node, the Configurations node under the Sensor Selection node, the Min-MAC nodes, or the MODMAC nodes, the Correlation Details View subpanel displays important information about each normal mode, or sensor configuration. See Correlation Details View subpanel (pre-test solution process) for more information.

Right-click commands for the pre-test solution process are available from nodes in the Simulation Navigator. See Right-click commands for the pre-test solution process for more information.
