Solver calculation for duct with mass flow elements
Because no cross section is defined for 1D duct with mass flow elements, the thermal solver does not calculate pressure and fluid resistance. The thermal solver only calculates the mass flow, , and the temperature due to convection with the thermal elements.
The solver calculates the mass flow on 1D duct with mass flow elements that do not have a specified mass flow, by minimizing mass flow imbalances at junctions. If a given junction point has a remaining mass flow imbalance, the solver adds a compensating mass flow injection or loss at this junction. The temperature of the added mass flow, Tcalc, is the calculated temperature at the junction. Tin is the temperature of the fluid at the inflow.
There is only convection through 1D duct with mass flow elements. There is no conduction.
