Element Copy and Reflect dialog box

Type
Type Controls the portion of the element that the software reflects.Any Element reflects any combination of selected element edges, faces, and solid elements to create new 1D, 2D, and 3D elements.Element Edges reflects element edges to create 1D elements.Element Faces reflects element faces to create 2D elements.Solid Elements Only copies and reflects selected 3D elements.
Elements
Select Elements Lets you select the elements to reflect.
Element Labels Available when Type is set to Any Element or Solid Elements Only.Lets you add elements to the selection.Use a space or comma to separate your entries.Use a colon or a dash to add a range of element labels. For example, enter 1:10 or 1-10 to add all the element labels from 1 to 10.Use colons to add an incremented range of element labels. For example, enter:1:9:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9.1:10:2 to add element labels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10.10:1:-2 to add element labels 10, 8, 6, 4, 2, 1.Press enter or click Select to add your entries. To edit your selection, click Edit Element Selection .
Reflection Plane
Specify Plane Lets you define the plane across which to reflect the elements. You can use the Selection Filter to select faces, polygon faces, planes, or datum planes from the Graphics window. You can also create a new plane.
Material Orientation
Reflect Material Orientation Controls whether the software reflects an element's material coordinate system when you reflect the element.
Solid Directions to Reflect Available when Type is set to Solid Elements Only. For solid elements, specifies the directions of the material coordinate system to reflect, such as the First and Second directions. The software calculates the third axis to reflect as a cross product of the two axes that you select to reflect. For example, you can select First and Third to reflect the first and third axes and have the software calculate the direction of the second axis.
Element Properties
Type Specifies the type of element to create.
Destination Collector
Collector Specifies the name of an existing mesh collector into which to place the new elements. Click New Collector to open the Mesh Collector dialog box where you can create a new mesh collector. See Mesh collectors for more information.
Destination Mesh
Destination Mesh Controls the mesh node into which the software places the new elements.Create New creates a new mesh node on the Simulation Navigator. The software places the new elements into that new node.Add to Existing places the new elements into an existing mesh node on the Simulation Navigator.
Label
Label Specifies the starting label for the new elements.
Increment Specifies the increment the software should use for each successive element label.
Mesh Properties
Export Mesh to Solver Available when Type is set to Element Faces.Controls whether the software includes the 2D mesh data in your solver input file when you export or solve the model. If you plan to use this 2D mesh as only a seed mesh for a 3D mesh, you should clear this check box.
Preview
Preview Preview automatically previews the appearance of the reflected elements once you have specified the minimum options necessary.
Show Result Click Show Result to preview the reflected elements based upon your current selections.
