Thermal and flow element quality
The following table shows the acceptable element values that are used by the flow and thermal solvers to determine the quality of elements in your mesh.
| Interior angle, α | Warp angle, βNOTE | |
|---|---|---|
| Fluid elements | 15°<α<165° | N.A. |
| Thermal elements | 1°<α<179° | β<15° |
Interior angle
Is the angle between any two edges of the element.
Wrap angle
Is the maximum angle between normals of all possible triangles that are created by dividing the quadrilateral element into triangles.
The fluid elements are left-handed elements.
