Using a Flow Blockage with other types of boundary conditions

Modeling thermal conductances

To model thermal conductances between a Solid or Porous type Flow Blockage simulation object and other parts of the model, you can apply the following boundary conditions or simulation objects to the blockage's geometry:

  • Convection to Environment constraint

  • Initial Temperature constraint

  • Radiation simulation objects

  • Simple Radiation to Environment constraint

  • Temperature constraint

  • Thermal Loads load

  • Thermal Coupling simulation object

You cannot apply the following simulation objects to the geometry of a Solid type of Flow Blockage simulation object:

  • Flow Boundary Condition

  • Flow Surface

  • Screen

Modeling related flow conditions

To model related flow conditions, you can apply the following simulation objects to the polygon faces that delimit a Porous type of Flow Blockage:

  • Flow Boundary Condition

  • Screen
