Define Radiative Heating
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Radiative Heating .
In the Radiative Heating dialog box, select an option from the Type list.Illuminate All Elements allows the solver to determine which elements are directly illuminated.Illuminate Selected Elements allows you to limit the solver's search for directly illuminated elements. This can save calculation time when some parts of the model obviously have no direct view of the source.
In the Top/Bottom Emitting Region groups, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity for the heat load.
(Optional) If you selected Illuminate Selected Elements, in the Top/Bottom Illuminating Region groups, click Select Object and select the geometry or FE entity for the heat load.
Define the part of the energy spectrum in which the heat source is radiating:Select either Solar or infrared (IR), orSpecify Spectral Distribution to specify the Source Temperature of the emitting surfaces or to define intensity as a function of wavelength by selecting Intensity vs Wavelength.
Select the Heat Load Type, then define the magnitude of the heat load.
Select the appropriate Direction Type and Advanced Options for your simulation.
