Output a result probe to a table field

After you set up a result probe, you can output its results as a table field. You can plot, edit, define spatial distribution boundary conditions, and export table fields from result probes like any other table field. For more information about creating table fields, see Table fields.

  1. Set up a result probe. For more information, see Display results using a result probe.

  2. In the Result Probe dialog box, from the Output Options list, select Field.

  3. From the Independent Domain list, select the independent domain type.

  4. From the Dependent Domain list, select the dependent domain type.

  5. From the Duplicate Values list, select how the table field processes duplicate data. For more information, see Duplicate data.

  6. Click OK. The new field appears in the Simulation Navigator under the Fields container for the Simulation file.

  7. Continue to create result probes, or click Close to close the Result Probe dialog box.
