Control cutting plane display

While your analysis is solving, you can control the cutting plane display of the instantaneous results in the Solution Control Monitor.

1. Open the Solution Control Monitor.For more information, see Display real-time solution results.

2. On the Post View tab, in the Results group, from the Results Type list, select the result type.

3. From the View Selections list, select one of the following types to create cross section displays of results:Clipping to slice the model and show only the selected portion.Cut Side to cut through the model and view the interior results for one portion of the model.Cut Both Sides to cut through the model and view the interior results for both sides of the model.No ClippingClippingCut Side****Cut Both Sides

4. In the Plane row, select one of the coordinate system options: X, Y, or Z to define the location on the model, for the cross section view.

5. Move the Offset slider to position the cutting plane.

6. (Optional) Select Reverse Direction check box to view the opposite side of the cutting plane.
