Create sheet bodies from polygon faces
Ensure that the CAD model is loaded and that the FEM file is the currently displayed part.
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the CAD model and choose Make Work Part.When you make the CAD model the work part, the mesh is de-emphasized and translucent, and the polygon geometry is hidden.
In the Simulation Navigator, use the visibility check boxes to hide the mesh and to display the polygon face to use to create the N-sided surface.
From the Insert menu, choose Model Preparation→Surface→From Polygon Face.
In the Create Face dialog box, in the Object to Create group:Select Surface to create the face as a trimmed, N-sided surface.Select Boundary to create a planar boundary based on the edges of the polygon face.
Select the polygon face and click OK or Apply to create the face.
