Add nodes to a DOF set

Add nodes to a DOF set using the Edit command

1. In the Simulation Navigator, expand the DOFSets container.

2. Right-click the DOF set to which you want to add nodes and choose Edit.

3. In the graphics window, select the new nodes to add to the DOF set.

4. In the Edit DOFSet dialog box, select the check box for each degree of freedom to specify as active for the new nodes.In the Listing group, active DOFs are marked with (green check mark). Inactive degrees of freedom are marked with (red X).

5. Click OK to finish making the change.

Add nodes to a DOF set using the Add to DOF Set command

Alternatively, you can use the Add to DOFSet command to add nodes to a DOF set.

1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the DOF set to which you want to add nodes and choose Add to DOF Set.

2. In the graphics window, select the nodes to add to the DOF set.

3. In the Add to DOFSet dialog box, select the check box for each degree of freedom to specify as active for the new nodes.In the Listing group, active DOFs are marked with (green check mark). Inactive degrees of freedom are marked with (red X).

4. Click OK in both dialog boxes.
