Set up the display of a contour plot post view
The following is a general procedure for setting up a post view using the Edit Post View command when the color display is set to contour plot. The Edit Post View command lets you edit the results, the display, the deformation, and the legend.
You can also use the commands in the Post View and Display groups of the Results tab to quickly access specific options.
Click Apply at any time during the following procedure to view your current settings.
In the graphics window or the Post Processing Navigator, select the post view that is displayed as a contour plot. Note: If post views are displayed in multiple viewports, you can modify the post view settings for multiple post views simultaneously. To edit multiple post views, in the graphics window or the Post Processing Navigator, hold Ctrl and click each post view to select it.
Choose Results tab→Post View group→Edit Post View .
On the Result tab, control the results displayed. You can change the results shown in the post view, as well as set averaging, the coordinate system, the units, and a scale factor. For complete instructions, see Editing results in post views.
On the Display tab, control the selection and display of results: To choose a contour plot display style, select the Color Display check box and choose a display style from the list. Set the display options for the selected display style. To choose where you want to display the results, such as on the whole volume, on element free faces, or on a cutting plane, from the Display on list, select an option. If you choose Cutting Plane, choose Options to control the cutting plane display and determine the cutting plane location. For complete instructions, see Controlling display in post views, Setting up contour plots in post views, and Displaying symmetric results.
On the Deformation tab, select a deformation result and data component, specify a scale factor, and select to display the undeformed model. For complete instructions, see Displaying deformations.
On the Legend tab, specify minimum, maximum, and threshold values for the color bar, and control the number of colors, the spectrum used and the header. Controlling the color is useful for highlighting areas of interest and hiding noise in the data. For complete instructions, see Managing legends and color bars in post views.
Click OK.
