Per Region options
| Region | |
|---|---|
| Group Reference | Lets you apply the report region to a group. For more information, see Group Reference options. |
| Select Object | Lets you select the report region.Element Selection Filtering lets you limit your element selection to the FE entity you select from the Filter Type list:Elements lets you select elements of any order, or any combination of elements of different orders.Element Edges lets you select only the edges of 2D elements.Element Faces lets select only the faces of 3D elements.Excluded lets you remove individual entities from within your selected object. |
| Stacked Smart Selector Methods | Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box. |
| Thermal Data | |
| Available when you are solving using the thermal solver. | |
| Temperature | Reports the average, maximum, minimum temperatures, the difference between the maximum and minimum temperatures, and the temperature upper and lower limits on the selected elements. |
| Heat Load | Reports the total loads, the heat loads broken down in terms of planet plus radiation sources, albedo plus radiation sources, Sun, and other loads, and the percentage of the total heat load on the model on the selected elements. |
| Heat Flux | Reports the total flux and the heat fluxes broken down in terms of planet plus radiation sources, albedo plus radiation sources, Sun, and other fluxes on the selected elements. The report is analogous to the Heat Loads report with values divided by area. |
| Physical Property | Describes the selected elements in terms of total area, volume, mass and capacitance, as well as average density, thickness (shell elements), emissivity, absorptivity, conductivity, and specific heat. |
| Orbital and Source View Factors | Reports planet, Sun and albedo view factors for the selected elements. |
| Phase Change Quality | Reports average, maximum, and minimum quality for the selected elements. |
| Duct Flow | Reports average velocity, average Reynolds, average mass flow, average pressure, maximum pressure, and minimum pressure for selected elements. |
| 3D Flow Data | |
| Available when you are solving using the flow solver. | |
| Velocity and Pressure | Reports the nodal average, maximum, and minimum velocity and pressure values for the selected elements. |
| Velocity Gamma Values | Generates an index that measures the flow uniformity through a flow boundary condition face. A velocity gamma value of unity indicates that the flow is totally uniform. The gamma value is computed using the following equation:where:i is an element face of the selected face or region that contains n element faces.Ai and Ui are the local area and the local velocity of the ith element face.A and Um are the total area and the mean velocity of the selected face or region. |
| Temperature | Reports the average, maximum, and minimum values for the fluid temperature on the selected elements. |
| Turbulent Data | Reports the average, maximum, and minimum values for the turbulent kinetic energy and its dissipation rate.Note: Turbulent data is available only for Standard K-Epsilon, RNG K-Epsilon, Realizable K-Epsilon, K-Omega, and SST — Shear Stress Transport turbulence models. |
| Mass and Volume Flow | Reports mass and volume flow through each flow boundary condition face. |
| Report Data on Specified X-Y Plane | Reports interpolated data on the specified X-Y plane. The data is interpolated from the computed values on elements selected in the Region group that are cut by the specified X-Y plane, which you define with CSYS Defining X-Y Plane. |
| Convection to Fluid | Reports how much heat is transferred between the thermal model elements and the 3D fluid elements. |
| Shell Layers | |
| Apply Report to | Specifies on which side of 2D shell elements you want to calculate thermal results. The results are calculated on the following sides of 2D shell elements:Top and BottomTopBottom |
