Initial Axial Force Beam dialog box (LS-DYNA)

Name
Name Lets you specify a name for the constraint.
Destination Folder
Constraint Container Specifies the folder in the Simulation Navigator in which the boundary condition is stored. The list includes the root container and existing folders that you created using the New Folder command. Examples of a root container include Load Container, Constraint Container, and Simulation Object Container.
Folder Manager Displays a hierarchical listing of existing folders. To create a new folder, right-click any level of the hierarchy and choose New Folder.
Model Objects (NSID)
Group Reference Lets you select a group of entities, such as nodes, on which to define the constraint. For more information, see Group Reference options.
Select Object Lets you select the nodes for which you want to define velocities.Use the Excluded options to remove individual entities, such as edges, from your selection.
Stacked Smart Selector Methods Opens the Smart Selector Methods dialog box where you can specify a progression of smart selection filters. For more information, see Smart Selector Methods dialog box.
Scaling
Load Curve (LCID) Lets you select the DEFINE_CURVE modeling object that specifies the load curve that defines the preload to apply the beam over time. For more information, see Defining XY data for LS-DYNA solutions.
Bending Stiffness
Bending Stiffness (KBEND) Lets you specify the bending stiffness of the bolt during initialization.Select Negligible to specify negligible bending stiffness because integration points are assigned the same axial stress.Select Retain to retain the bending stiffness by keeping the axial stress gradient.
