Thermal/Flow, Electronic Systems Cooling, and Space Systems Thermal > Mapping
Define mapping options
In the Solution dialog box, on the Mapping Details tab, in the Source Model Results File box, browse to the file that contains the thermal or flow data that you want to map to the target model.
From the Mapped Data Destination Directory list, select the folder where you want to store the mapped data files, or select Specify if you want to browse to a folder of your choice.
If the analysis type for the source model is Coupled, in the Data to Map group, from the Fields list, do one of the following:To specify the mapping of temperature results on non-fluid elements, select Solid Temperatures. To specify the mapping of flow results on the target model, select Flow Values. By default, the software maps pressure on surfaces adjacent to the fluid. You can map either relative to ambient pressure values or absolute pressure values.
For transient models, in the Time Point Source, select Specify, and enter the output time values in the Select Output Times box.
(Optional) If you map temperatures results, in the Settings group, do the following:From the Extrapolation Type list, select the extrapolation behavior. In the Relaxation of Extrapolated Temperature Limits, %(Tmax-Tmin) box, enter the percentage to relax the extrapolation limits of mapped temperatures. In the Temperature Offset box, enter the offset temperature applied to the mapped temperatures.
(Optional) If you map pressure results, in the Settings group, do the following:From the Extrapolation Type list, select the extrapolation behavior. In the Relaxation of Extrapolated Pressure Limits, %(Pmax-Pmin) box, enter the percentage to relax the extrapolation limits of mapped pressures. This option only applies to the Limit to Model Range pressure extrapolation type.In the Pressure Offset box, enter the offset pressure applied to the mapped pressures.
On the Optional Output tab, select the solver types for which you want to create input files.
Click OK.
