Display COMAC results in Post Processing

To display COMAC results mode pairs must exist. Make sure that the number in square brackets of the Mode Pairs [#] node in the Simulation Navigator is not zero.

  1. In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the Mode Correlation Metrics node under the Correlation node and select (1 – COMAC).The (1 – COMAC) node is generated under the Mode Correlation Metrics node. Mode Correlation Metrics (1 – COMAC)

  2. Right-click the (1 – COMAC) node and select Open. The generated (1 – COMAC) results are loaded in the Post Processing Navigator. In a structural shape correlation solution processes, the generated (1 – COMAC) can include up to three coordinate components. Correlation 1 (1 – COMAC), X Component – Nodal (1 – COMAC), Y Component – Nodal Scalar (1 – COMAC), Z Component – NodalIn acoustic shape correlation solution processes, the generated (1 – COMAC) includes a single scalar component. Correlation 2 (1 – COMAC), X Component – Nodal Scalar

  3. In the Post Processing Navigator, double click the (1 – COMAC), Y Component – Nodal node to display the (1 – COMAC) results for the Y component of structural shape correlation. The results displayed are (1 – COMAC) values at each translational degree-of-freedom, and not COMAC values. Thus, values approaching 1.0 indicate that these degrees-of-freedom have poor correlation across the set of paired mode shapes.
