Immiscible Fluid Mixture dialog box (Flow/ESC/Multiphysics)
| Mixture Definition | |
|---|---|
| Tracked Fluid | Select a material from the list or click Choose material to create a new material. When you post process the results, a volume fraction value close to one indicates that the mixture is mostly composed of the tracked fluid. |
| Complementary Fluid | Specifies the complementary fluid material of the immiscible fluid mixture.Select a material from the list or click Choose material to create a new material. When you post process the results, a volume fraction value close to zero indicates that the mixture is mostly composed of the complementary fluid. |
| Parameters | |
| Surface Tension | Activates the surface tension between the tracked and complementary fluids. You define the value for the surface tension coefficient in the Surface Tension Coefficient box.We recommend the following reference when determining a surface tension value: F.M. White, Fluid Mechanics, 4th edition (Boston: McGraw-Hill, 1999), 772–773. |
