Solve for modal response

Solving for the modal responses is optional; the software calculates the modal response automatically when you perform a response evaluation. However, if you are working with a very large or complex simulation, you can solve for the modal responses and then any subsequent response evaluations you perform will use the response results, which saves time.

Note:

This information does not apply to Quasi-Static events.

  • In the Simulation Navigator, under the Response Dynamics solution process node, right-click the event node and choose Solve for Modal Response.
