Append an FE model

  1. Choose MenuInsertAppend Fem.

  2. In the Source Fem group, select a FEM file from the Loaded Fem list, or click Fem file selector to open a FEM file.The String to prepend fem object names box displays the source FEM file name.

  3. (Optional) Choose from the following:Enter a unique string in the String to prepend fem object names box. This string will be used as a name prefix for all FEM objects appended to the target FEM. In the ID Specification group, modify the default offset values if necessary. The default values are calculated based on the ID counts in your target FEM. Select Offset if you want to add the offset value to all source FEM ID counts. Otherwise, source IDs will be renumbered consecutively starting at the offset value.

  4. Click OK to append the source FEM and close the dialog box, or click Apply to append the FEM, update the offset values, and choose another source FEM.
