Create a new pre-test solution process

You must create a pre-test solution process in the same Simulation file that contains the analysis solution.

  1. Choose Correlation tab→Pre-Test Planning group→New Pre-Test Planning .

  2. (Optional) Give a meaningful name to the pre-test solution process.

  3. In the Solution group, select the analysis solution for which you want to find the optimum sensor locations for performing modal testing.

  4. From the Work Subcase list, select a subcase containing the modes you want to use to generate a pre-test solution process.

  5. (Optional) Enter a Cutoff Frequency (Hz) value to exclude low frequency modes with a frequency below the specified value.

  6. (Optional) Clear the Exclude Low-Frequency Modes check box if you want to include low frequency modes.

  7. (Optional) Select the Exclude High-Frequency Modes check box if you want to exclude modes with a frequency above the Cutoff Frequency (Hz) value that you specify.

  8. Click OK.
