Response Dynamics
Deactivate modes by mass limit in Response Dynamics
You can deactivate modes in a SOL 103 Response Dynamics solution by specifying an effective mass limit.
If any mass component is below the limit, the mode is deactivated. Both translational (X, Y, Z) and rotational (RX, RY, RZ) effective mass is considered by the effective mass limit you specify.
For example, if you specify 25% as the mass limit you see the following in the Response Dynamics Details View subpanel listing of the normal modes. In this example, note that modes 2, 6, 9, and 10 are deactivated.
Response Dynamics modes filtered by 25.0%. Active modes are marked with an *.
Note:
To activate or deactivate all the modes, right-click the Normal Modes node, and select Activate All or Deactivate All.
