Superelement Recovery dialog box

Use this dialog box to recover superelements that are generated by a SOL 414,103 Eigenvalues and Superelement Reduction solution, and used in a Simcenter Nastran Rotor Dynamics analysis.

Executable
Use Environment Variable UGII_SAMCEF Uses the location set by the UGII_SAMCEF environment variable to start the Samcef solver.
User Specified Available when the Use Environment Variable UGII_SAMCEF check box is cleared.Sets the location of the Samcef solver executable file.Type the path or click Browse to navigate to the directory that contains the Samcef solver executable file.
Solver Memory (in MB)
Memory Sets the amount of memory you want to allocate for solving the Samcef solution to recover the superelement results from the original model.
Superelement Use
.des File Sets the location of the Samcef .des results file that contains the results of the rotor dynamics analysis that used the superelement.Type the path and file name or click Browse .
Superelement Information
Read Superelement Information Retrieves the results and superelement information from the file specified in the .des File box, and populates the superelements table in Superelement Selection.
Superelement Selection
Superelements Selection table Lists the superelements in the model by:Internal IDName, if you provided one on the FE Model Component Representation dialog box.Path, which is the location of the generated superelement .sdb file. You can change this path if the file is in a different location or on another computer.
Modify Sdb File Path Available when you select a path in the Superelements Selection table.Sets the location of the Samcef .sdb file for the selected superelement.Type the path or click Browse to navigate to the directory that contains the file.
References Selection
Select All References Lets you select all of the superelement results, or a subset of the resultsFor example, to restore one mode, clear the Select All References check box and select a mode from the table.
Results table Available when the Select All References check box is cleared. The type of results that appear in the table depend on the solution and specified .des file.Rotor speeds steps for SOL 414,110 complex modal analysis.Frequency steps for SOL 414,111 harmonic response analysisTime steps for SOL 414,129 transient response analysisVibration modes for SOL 414,103 eigenvalues analysisSelect a single result to restore, or select multiple results by pressing Ctrl and selecting the individual results.
Recovery Deck File
Recovery Deck File Name Available when a superelement is selected in the Superelements Selection table.Sets the location and name of the input file that the software uses to recover your superelements. Each time you recover results for the selected superelement, this file and the corresponding results file is overwritten. To save the results to individual files that are not overwritten, change this file name. This allows you to recover the superelements in different combinations and save those results.By default, the recovered input file is named as follows:superelement_name-superelement_id.datType the path or click Browse to navigate to the directory that contains the file.
