Mesh Mapping dialog box

Operation Name
Sets the name of the mesh mapping node that appears in the Simulation Navigator.
Source Mesh Specifies the type of mesh to be mapped.StationaryAfter you create the mesh mapping node, maps one or more regions of:A stationary, intermediate mesh to one or more regions of the stationary FE mesh. Another stationary FE mesh to one or more regions of the stationary (typically less dense) FE mesh.RotatingMaps data from one or more regions of the rotating, intermediate mesh to one or more regions of the stationary FE mesh, after creating the mesh mapping node. For example, you may want to map vibrations (displacements, velocities, accelerations, or forces) from a rotating mesh, such as a tire mesh, to a stationary mesh.
Options
Transfer Data Appears when Source Mesh is set to Stationary.Controls whether to map one or more regions from the intermediate mesh or an FE mesh to one or more regions of the FE mesh with the Transfer From and Transfer To groups in the Mesh Mapping Data dialog box, after creating the mesh mapping node.
Export Mesh Mapping Matrix Appears when Source Mesh is set to Stationary.Controls the export of the mesh mapping matrix that includes weights between influencing and influenced nodes to an ASCII text file.Note: When the Export Mesh Mapping Matrix check box is selected and you solve the Model and Load Pre-processing solution, in the background, the software also exports the matrix to a file in the compact HDF5 binary format. For example, you may use the exported mesh mapping matrix in Pre/Post or another software that can further process this matrix.
Select File Available when the Export Mesh Mapping Matrix check box is selected.Click Browse to filter for applicable file types, navigate to, and select an appropriate text file.
Export Mesh Mapping Groups Appears when Source Mesh is set to Stationary.Controls the export of groups for source, target, or both nodes to an ASCII text file.Note: When the Export Mesh Mapping Groups check box is selected, and you specify the export files for the groups and solve the Model and Load Pre-processing solution, the software exports the groups to the specified files. For example, you may use the exported group files in Pre/Post or another software that can further process these groups.
Groups to Export Available when the Export Mesh Mapping Groups check box is selected.Lets you specify whether the software:Exports a group of source or target nodes, or both.Stores the groups in one file or separate files.
Source Group File Available when the Export Mesh Mapping Groups check box is selected and Groups to Export is set to Source or Source and Target in Two Files.Click Browse to filter for applicable file types, navigate to, and select an appropriate text file.
Target Group File Available when the Export Mesh Mapping Groups check box is selected and Groups to Export is set to Target or Source and Target in Two Files.Click Browse to filter for applicable file types, navigate to, and select an appropriate text file.
Groups File Available when the Export Mesh Mapping Groups check box is selected and Groups to Export is set to Source and Target in One File.Click Browse to filter for applicable file types, navigate to, and select an appropriate text file.
Data is in relative coordinate system Appears when Source Mesh is set to Rotating.Lets you specify whether the data of the rotating, intermediary mesh is in the absolute coordinate system or relative, nodal displacement coordinate system. The relative, nodal displacement coordinate system assigned to a node rotates around the rotational axis.(1) Absolute coordinate system and (2) relative, nodal displacement coordinate system at initial time t0 and at t1 > t0
Rotation
Appears when Source Mesh is set to Rotating.
Direction Defines the axis of rotation. For more information, see Vector dialog box.To reverse the direction of the vector, click Reverse Direction .
Center Defines a point through which the axis of rotation passes. For more information, see Point dialog box.
RPM Sets the RPM value. For more information, see Additional magnitude options.
