Anisotropic Material Definition dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Structure)

Property View

From the Property View list for an Isotropic material, select Samcef Anisotropic Structure.

Properties group

Properties
Mass Density (RHO). Lets you define the mass density. In the Samcef material page, this corresponds to the M parameter.

Mechanical page

Material Property Matrix (Gij)
Material Property Matrix (Gij) Lets you define all 21 anisotropic coefficients of the elastic part. These properties can be a constant, expression, or a temperature dependent field. In the Samcef material page, this corresponds to the YT parameter.
Stress-Strain Related Properties
In the Stress-Strain Related Properties, you can define elastoplastic properties. You can define Yield criterion properties. For more information, see Yield criterion in the Elastoplastic Material dialog box (Simcenter Samcef). You can define hardening laws. For more information, see Hardening Properties in Elastoplastic Material dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

Thermal page

Properties
Temperature (TREF) Lets you define the material reference temperature. In the Samcef material page, this corresponds to the TREF parameter.
Thermal Expansion (Ai)
Thermal Expansion (Ai) Lets you define the thermal expansion coefficients. In the Samcef material page, this corresponds to the A parameter.

Creep page

In the Creep page, you can define creep laws. For more information, see Creep Laws Definition dialog box (Simcenter Samcef Structure).

Viscoelasticity page

In the Viscoelasticity page, you can define viscoelastic properties. For more information, see Viscoelastic properties in the Material dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

Viscoplasticity page

In the Viscoplasticity Properties page, you can define viscoplastic properties. For more information, see Viscoplastic properties in the Material dialog box (Simcenter Samcef).

Damage page

If you define some viscoplasticity properties on the Viscoplasticity page, you can add a damage behavior to the material by selecting Rupture with Damage from the list, and then defining the following properties.

Parameter for Delay (ADEL), Time for Delay (TAU) Lets you define the two parameters for the delay law.Note: The Time for Delay (TAU) value is required.
Maximum Damage Value (DDEN) To avoid a singular stiffness matrix when all the material is damaged, you can specify the maximum damage value the material can undergo. Default value = 0.999
