Thermal/Flow, Electronic Systems Cooling, and Space Systems Thermal > Solving the model > Parallel processing
Run a flow simulation in parallel
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the solution node and choose Edit. The Solution dialog box is displayed.
On the Solution Details page, in the Solve Options group, from the Flow Solver Selection list, select Parallel Solver.
In the Parallel Processing group, select the Run Solution in Parallel check box.
In the Parallel Configuration File box, specify your parallel configuration XML file. When the icon for Parallel Configuration File is Invalid File Reference , the software cannot find the parallel configuration file. When the icon for Parallel Configuration File changes to Infers Relative Path , the software is able to run in parallel.
(Optional) Click Create New File or Modify Existing File if you want to create or modify, respectively, the parallel configuration XML file. This launches the Parallel Configuration Tool that allows you to set up the environment for parallel processing. For more information, see Create the parallel configuration file.Note: You must do this step for a cloned solution that has the Run Directory list set to Simulation-Solution Name or Solution Name to re-validate the parallel configuration file.
Click OK to close the Solution dialog box.
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click the solution node and choose Solve.
