Define contact properties within a general contact (Abaqus)

  1. Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Simulation Object TypeGeneral Contact .

  2. In the General Contact dialog box, in the Contact group, click Contact Property to create the General Contact Property modeling object.

  3. To define surface interaction (friction and surface behavior), in the General Contact Property dialog box, in the Contact Property Assignment group, select or create a Surface Interaction Property modeling object.For more information, see Surface Interaction dialog box (Abaqus).

  4. To define contact formulation, in the General Contact Property dialog box, in the Numerical Control group, select or create a Contact Formulation Property modeling object.For more information, see Contact Formulation dialog box (Abaqus).

  5. Click OK to create the General Contact Property modeling object.
