Connection Types
Connection Type Specifies the type of connection for which you want to override the customer default settings. GENERAL specifies that the override you enter applies to all of the connection types in the list except for those that already have an override value. Note: Although the value you enter for GENERAL applies to all connection types except for those with existing overrides, the original value still appears when you select another connection. indicates that the connection type is using an override value. indicates that the connection type is using the customer default value.
Common options
Override Appears when you select a connection type.Lets you enter a value to override the customer default for this tolerance option.
Reset to Default Appears for tolerance options.Updates the tolerance values to those defined in customer defaults.
Threshold
Available for the Projection check at the object level and at the mesh level.
Threshold Sets the maximum distance allowed between the definition point and the projection point. If the distance between the definition point and the project point is greater than this value, an error is reported.
Length Range
Available for the Length of Connection check at the object level and at the mesh level.
Minimum Distance Sets the minimum distance required between connection points.
Maximum Distance Sets the maximum distance required between connection points.
Length Ratio Range
Available for the Length Ratio of Connection check at the object level and at the mesh level.
Minimum Ratio Sets the minimum length ratio.
Maximum Ratio Sets the maximum length ratio.
Maximum Angle
Available for the Angle of Connection check at the object level and at the mesh level.
Maximum Angle Sets the maximum angle between the between the normals of the supports.
Flatness
Available for the Flatness Around Spot Weld check at the object level and at the mesh level. The combination of the Height and Radius values creates a virtual cylinder around the spot welds. Any feature that intersects with the bottom or top plane of this virtual cylinder is considered an error, and the distance between the connection and the feature is reported.
Height Sets the maximum accepted height for spot welds. The height defines the height of the virtual cylinder.
Radius Sets the maximum accepted radius for spot welds. The radius defines the diameter of the virtual cylinder.
Report minimal distance Returns the first intersection point, that is, the first feature with the least distance from the projection point defined by the height and radius.
Minimum Distance
Available for the Distance Between Connection Points, Distance Between Connections, and Distance from Free Edge checks at the object level.Distance Between Connections and Distance from Free Edge apply to all universal connections except for lumped mass.Distance Between Connections applies to all universal connections except for lumped mass and nodal connections (spring, bushing, damper, kinematic, and rigid).
Minimum Distance Sets the minimum distance you require between connection points, between connections, or between free edges and connection points. If any feature is found within this defined distance, an error is reported in the results.
