Define a custom layup offset
In the Simulation Navigator, right-click theLayup Offset node and choose Create User Defined Layup Offset Rule.
In the Laminate Layup Offset dialog box, enter a positive or negative distance value in the Bottom Fiber Distance box to define the distance between the reference plane and the bottom of the bottom ply.Note: The element normal defines the positive direction.The bottom fiber distance is negative if the bottom of the laminate is in the negative direction from the reference plane.The bottom fiber distance is positive if the bottom of the laminate is in the positive direction from the reference plane.
Select the faces or elements you want to define with the bottom fiber distance you specified.When selecting objects, you can use the selection methods on the Top Border bar to quickly select multiple related faces or elements.
Click OK.
Note:
If you use a custom layup offset, you must adjust the offset if you modify the thickness of the layup.
