Element Revolve dialog box

Type
Type Controls whether the software revolves element edges or element faces.Select Element Edges to revolve the edges of 1D or 2D elements to create new 2D elements.Select Element Faces to revolve the faces of 2D elements to create new 3D elements.
Elements
Select Element Edges/Select Element Faces Lets you select the edges or faces of the elements you want to revolve.
Number of Copies
Number of Copies Specifies the number of elements to revolve from the selected element edge or face.
Axis
Specify Vector Lets you specify a vector that defines the axis about which to revolve the elements.
Reverse Direction Reverses the vector's direction.
Specify Point Lets you select the point about which to revolve the elements.
Angle
Revolution Angle Controls the amount the software revolves the elements.Per Copy revolves each copy of the elements the specified Angle.Total revolves all copies of the elements a total of the specified Angle.
Angle Specifies the angle to revolve the elements about the selected axis.
Element Properties
Type Specifies the type of element to create.
Edit Mesh Associated Data Appears when you select an element type that requires the definition of additional properties.Opens the Mesh Associated Data dialog box where you can define solver-specific properties for the elements. The software applies these properties uniformly to all the elements in the mesh. For more information, see Mesh-associated data.
Destination Collector
Retain Collector Controls whether the software places the newly created elements into the same collector as the parent mesh of the selected elements.Select the Retain Collector check box to place the new elements into the same collector as the original 2D element edges or 3D element faces.Clear the Retain Collector check box to either automatically create a new collector or to place the new elements into a different collector.
Automatic Creation Select Automatic Creation to have the software automatically create a new destination collector for the current mesh. If you select this option, the software creates a collector using the default physical properties and inherits the material properties of the idealized part.Clear the Automatic Creation check box to choose an existing mesh collector from the Mesh Collector list.
Mesh Collector Lets you select an existing collector. Click New Collector to use the Mesh Collector dialog box to create additional mesh collectors. See Mesh collectors for more information.
Destination Mesh
Destination Mesh Controls the mesh node into which the software places the new elements.Create New creates a new mesh node on the Simulation Navigator. The software places the new elements into that new node.Add to Existing to places the new elements into an existing mesh node on the Simulation Navigator.
Export Mesh to Solver Available when Type is set to Element Edges.Controls whether the software includes the 2D mesh data in your solver input file when you export or solve the model. If you plan to use this 2D mesh as only a seed mesh for a 3D mesh, you should clear this check box.
Label
Label Specifies the starting label for the new elements.
Increment Specifies the increment the software should use for each successive element label.
Preview
Preview Preview automatically previews the appearance of the revolved elements once you have specified the minimum options necessary.
Show Result Show Result previews the revolved elements based upon your current selections.
