Boundary conditions > Structural loads > Nastran, Simcenter 3D Multiphysics, Abaqus, and ANSYS structural loads > Bearing load
Define a bearing load
Choose Home tab→Loads and Conditions group→Bearing .
In the Bearing dialog box, in the Cylindrical or Circular Object group, click Select Object and select the cylindrical face or circular edge to which the load will be applied.
In the Direction group, select a vector that specifies the direction of the load. For more information, see Vector dialog box.
In the Properties group, define the Force magnitude in one of these ways:Select Expression to use a constant value or expression to define the magnitude. For more information, see Expressions.Select Field to define a force magnitude that varies with frequency, time, or temperature. For more information, see Using fields and expressions to define boundary conditions.
Enter a value for Angle to define the angular region over which the force will be distributed.
In the Distribution group, select Sinusoidal or Parabolic to specify how the force will be distributed over the geometry.
Click OK.The bearing load is applied to the model.
