Teamcenter Integration for Simulation

Create a managed copy of your model structure

You can use the Save As command to create a managed copy of your entire model structure in a single operation. This example shows the process of cloning a Simulation as a new item.

  1. Make the Simulation the work part and make sure all the referenced parts are loaded.

  2. Choose File tab→SaveSave As.

  3. In the Save Parts As dialog box, select Selected Parts from the Save As Scope list.

  4. From the Loaded Parts list, select the Simulation file, FEM file, and idealized part file. Optionally, you can also select the master part file.

  5. From the Save As list, select New Item.

  6. In the Name and Attributes table, for each selected file, enter a part number, part name, and revision. If you selected New Revision from the Save As list, you need to assign only the new revisions.

  7. Click OK.
