Model and Load Pre-processing

Solving the solution process

After your Model and Load Pre-processing solution is prepared, you can perform a solve. When you solve your model, the software creates the input file for the Model and Load Pre-processing pre-solver and other important files in different formats, and begins to process the input file. A successful solve produces an sc_h5 result file in compact binary HDF5 format.

Optionally, you can create an input file without performing a solve. You can use the input file to later solve the meta-solution on the same or another machine.

Note:

You are not prompted to enter a file name.

The pre-solver works on Windows and Linux platforms. On the Windows platform, for example, the pre-solver ScPreSolver.exe is located in the %UGII_BASE_DIR%\simulation\PreSolver\bin directory. You can use the Pre-Solver Parameters dialog box to set different options for the pre-solver.

For information on files created by the software and pre-solver, see Files created during the solve.
