Plot acoustic power functions for an automatically matched layer

Note:

The solver outputs acoustic power functions only in SORT2 format.

You can open a single OP2 file or all OP2 files in a folder.

  1. In the XY Function Navigator, right-click the Nastran OP2 Files- Sort2 Results node and choose Open.

  2. Browse to the OP2 file and click OK.The file appears as a new OP2 node in the XY Function Navigator along with the functions that are stored in the file. The functions are organized by result type and are indicated with the  icon. For more information, see Manage OP2 files.

  3. In the Nastran OP2 Files – Sort2 Results list, expand the OP2 file that contains the function that you want to plot. The main node directly under the file is Acoustic Power. Each AML region for which acoustic power functions are available in the OP2 data block is listed under Acoustic Power. If multiple subcases are present, they appear as a separate hierarchy under the main node. Each function is uniquely identified with an AML type and ID.

  4. Expand the result set, such as Acoustic Power, that contains the AML region data that you want to plot.

  5. Right-click the selected functions that you want to plot and choosePlot (XY).For more information, see Plot functions.

  6. (Optional) Overlay different functions in the same plot. For more information, see Overlay plots.
