Create a Campbell diagram

  1. Select ToolsJournalPlay.

  2. In the Journal Manager dialog box, select CampbellCsvToAfu.vb.Note: You can find the NX Open application at %UGII_BASE_DIR%\UGOPEN\SampleNXOpenApplications.NET\CAE\CampbellCsvToAfu.

  3. Click Run.

  4. In the NXN Rotordynamics Plots dialog box, select the .csv file containing the results of the Simcenter Nastran solve.

  5. From the Rotor Speed (RUNIT) and Freq. Output (FUNIT) lists, select the units you specified when you defined the system-wide rotor dynamics solution options.

  6. In the Processing Options group, select the appropriate options.For a Campbell diagram, you typically select the Eigenfrequencies and Per Rev Lines (1P, 2P, etc.) check boxes.

  7. Click OK.

  8. In the XY Function Navigator, expand the associated AFU node.The AFU file created by the NX Open application is automatically loaded.

  9. After expanding the AFU file, select the results you want to plot. Right-click the results node and choose Plot(XY).
